Track Metadata
Keep titles, versions, languages, audio details and assigned recording codes together for each song.
Credits Register
Record the people behind each track, their roles and the information your team needs to confirm.
Rights & Splits
Track reported ownership, agreed shares, supporting records and outstanding confirmations.
Budget & Expenses
Compare planned and actual costs, payments and unpaid balances—including Marketing and Content Marketing.
Guide & Examples
Use plain-language explanations, fictional examples and practical prompts when a field feels unfamiliar.

These are filled demonstrations. Case-study dates, costs, credits, ownership details and codes are fictional; they are not verified release records.
How to use it
A simple walkthrough, before you start.
You don’t have to complete everything at once. Start with what you know, then follow up on the gaps.
1. Choose your version and open the example.
Use Single Release for one song, or Project Release for an EP or album. Read the filled case study first, then use the separate blank template for your own release.
2. Add the release and song details.
Start with the overview, then enter each song’s information in Track Metadata. Use the guide for unfamiliar fields. Copy assigned codes from your distributor or existing records rather than inventing them.
3. Confirm the people, rights information and costs.
Record collaborators and roles, collect split confirmations, and add planned and actual expenses. Keep unconfirmed information visible so your team knows what still needs attention.
4. Review with your team before submission.
Check names, titles, identifiers, files and approvals against the final release materials. Save a separate workbook for your next release so each set of records stays clear.

Questions before you start
A few useful details.
Can I reuse the workbook for future releases?
Yes. Keep an untouched blank copy and create a separate working copy for each release. This keeps song details, credits and budgets from different releases separate.
What file format do I receive?
The prepared templates and case studies are Excel workbook files (.xlsx). If you plan to use another spreadsheet app, contact us first so we can confirm the appropriate setup.
Does the workbook include a campaign calendar?
The workbook focuses on release information, credits, rights tracking and expenses. A campaign calendar, release timeline or ongoing task coordination can be scoped separately as support services.
Does buying a template include someone filling it in?
The template is for you and your team to complete using the examples and guide. Data entry, setup sessions, information reviews and ongoing follow-ups are separate services.
Does the rights tracker replace signed agreements?
No. It helps organise information and track confirmations. Agreements, ownership decisions and permissions still need to be confirmed with the relevant people.
